Dr. Avneesh Agrawal
Senior Vice President of Engineering, Qualcomm CDMA Technologies
Dr. Avneesh Agrawal is Senior Vice President of Engineering
at Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT). QCT is the world’s
largest provider of wireless chipsets and software
solutions. Dr. Agrawal began his career at QUALCOMM in 1994
as a systems engineer for Globalstar. In 1998 he became the
project engineer for Qualcomm’s first UMTS chipset. In 2005
he became the General Manager for Qualcomm’s Technology &
Venture (QT&V) division responsible for Qualcomm’s venture
investments and research in new technologies. In 2007, Dr
Agrawal joined the Office of the CTO leading Qualcomm’s
R&D in OFDMA based next generation wireless technologies. Dr
Agrawal joined QCT in 2009, and is currently leading the
development of wireless LAN/PAN & Broadcast chipsets in
QCT. Dr Agrawal holds more than 50 patents in the field of
wireless communications. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Computer Systems Engineering and Master of Science and
Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford
University
